Top News and Magazine Apps in Finland: Q3 2025 Performance

In the third quarter of 2025, the top News and Magazine apps in Finland demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Helsingin Sanomat, from Sanoma Media Finland, saw a gradual rise in weekly downloads, peaking at about 3K by the end of September. Weekly revenue fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately $12.7K in early August. Active users showed a steady increase, growing from 346K to 387K over the quarter.

IS – Ilta-Sanomat experienced a significant spike in downloads in early September, hitting over 6K. Revenue also saw a slight upward trend, ending the quarter around $8.9K. Active users, however, declined from 236K to 210K during this period.

Iltalehti, published by Alma Media Finland, had a modest increase in revenue, peaking at $14.3K in late September. Downloads remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations, while active users slightly decreased from 142K to 135K.

The app X saw a notable rise in downloads in early September, reaching over 4.3K. Revenue varied, with a peak of $7.6K in early August. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending at around 181K.

Aamulehti showed a steady increase in downloads, peaking at 1.2K by the end of September. Revenue remained relatively low, with a peak of $1.6K. Active users slightly declined to 17.5K by the quarter's end.
